A bath set usually includes the toilet tank cover, seat cover, toilet rug and plain rectangular rug.

Sure, that would be a good gift, especially if your friend registered for it somewhere.

How can I give my cat a bath? She has nails and there is no just setting her in she'll climb me.?

    Sorry this is so long.

She's a year and a half and I adopted her so I didn't have the chance to raise her from a kitten with dealing with bathtime. I understand the whole cats can clean themselves thing and I get that. I have allergies and the only way for me to be able to breathe is to give her a bath every 2 or 3 weeks, about when the shampoo smell goes away. I love cats. I can't just not have one, I already have her and am not giving her up.

I have given her bathes a few times before...

The first time I didn't no what I was doing and ended up pouring water on her on the bathroom floor cause she would NOT go into the tub. She would climb me and no amount of scruff holding would make her stay. She does have claws and is not one of those sit in the bathtub and be pitiful kinds of cats.

The other times I had a friend show me how and help me. She would fill the tub, have the cat next to the tub, and pick her up by her scruff and somewhere around her back near her hind legs. She'd put her in the tub and hold her with her front feet sticking up so the cat couldn't do anything but yowl her unhappiness. I think that might not be good cause her back doesn't have the skin her scruff does but it worked.

Now my friend isn't available for occasional cat baths due to school and work. I can't do what she did cause I'd have no hands to bathe the cat I'd just be holding her. Is there a way to bathe the cat without A. her climbing me when she sees I've shut the door to the bathroom or B. me holding a jumping, twisting, clawing cat just to even get her into the water let alone washing her? I'm worried I'm going to hurt her when she goes into hysterics because she still has so much movement with me holding her scruff. Any ideas besides pouring water on her while she sits on towels? I can't even get her to sit in an empty tub to pour water on her from my full sink, so theres no running water. How can I give my cat a bath? She has nails and there is no just setting her in she'll climb me.?
I have one as you describe that gives us the pitiful looks. The other is a twister, squirmer, clawer kind. The funny thing is; he likes to play in water when a bath is not involved and it isn't too deep. What we did to calm him down to give us a little extra non panic time is to slowly work up to bath time.

For example: we would shut the door and talk to him as he started to calm down we would pet him. Then open the door without a bath. Do this several times until he doesn't panic with the door shut. We then put a ball in the tub and let him play with it. We then filled the tub with 2 inches of water, put the ball in then brought him in. The sound of rushing water scared him. We let him jump in and play usually he had wetted himself pretty good with playing and a cup preferably plastic would get the rest. We let him play sometimes without the nasty bathtime too. Then we soaped him up as if we were petting him in the tub and telling him he is such a good boy. Two or three plastic juice(or Koolaid) pitchers to rinse him off left just a little bit with the noisy shower or bath spigot. A few treats as mentioned already helped ease the pride too. We tried to think of a way that the bathtub was not a scary place for him. And we will still do some of the above from time to time without the bath just so he isn't just associating the tub with a bath.

And as frustrating, painful, and nerve wracking it is for you try and stay calm and quick about what you are doing, it will help him not panic as well. If you hold down around the shoulder blades gently it is harder for them to squirm and move then if you actually scruff her, and it takes less concentration on your part. It does make you a bit more vulnerable to a bite though.

Another little hint trim her nails the night before, so that they aren't as sharp. If you do it right before she is going to be agitated over that, too.

If possible and sometimes it isn't after the bath just hold him and stroke him and tell him he is a good girl.

It takes a lot of one on one time, but with the amount of baths you have to give her, it sounds like it might make it a lot easier on you if it works.

Hope your kitty stays squeaky clean, happy and you scratch free. How can I give my cat a bath? She has nails and there is no just setting her in she'll climb me.?
Try washing it with a wet wash cloth. Cats don't like baths so you should either use the sink or a wash cloth.
put her in the shower and just get her wet
have you tried the waterless shampoo's? you can get them at WalMart and PetSmart. and i think they have one that reduces dander.

    hope this helps.
Bathing cats is one dangerous thing!! I had three cats, wow it was a workout washing them. I have lots of scars from it too. I was always afraid of the cat scratching my eyes.

This one page shows bathing the cat in the sink, thats a good idea if you are tall enough to use it comforatably, why didnt I think of that! Its to hard in the tub bending over. This article sites cutting the cats nails first, if you have not done this, get someone at the vets or pet store to show you how, it can be painful for the cat if done incorrectly.
going to your doctor and getting shots for your allergies would be easier.

the problem is, no matter what you do, the cat will learn what you are doing and counter attack.
first of all call a groomer and make an appointment. ask to stay and ask questions. all i know is it's very bad to pour water on their heads because water can get stuck in their ears and get infected. running water or not it will terrify the kitten because that isn't how the momma cat bathed her.

you can get a big bowl of warm water. a few towels and one for your lap and body. some soap in the water and keep in mind only a few drops. give her a sponge bath sitting down on your lap. have her favorite kitty treats and feed her if you notice her being good. positive reinforcement training can work on cats. also too much bathing can dry out the skin and cause more issues for the cat. sponge baths will be similar to what the mother does and she may like it.

what has happened so far has been extremely negative and must of been sheer terror for her and i would suggest easing her into it with positive training. she isn't going to go willingly right now and it could cause serious behavior issues.

make sure to ask the groomer for cat safe shampoo that will not hurt their skin.

when in doubt always feel free to call your vet about what to do, they do have the ability to help resolve issues of any kind.

    best wishes.
I know this sounds extreme but I would suggest putting her in one of those net bags used to hold socks for washers. The holes are tiny and she won't be able to get tangled up in it, those bags have drawstring tops and you can just tie it with a quick release if you're worried. In this you can soap her up and rinse her fairly easily too but you will have to be extra careful about making sure she can breathe while you are washing her through the bag. I don't usually like using force but outside of trimming her claws and muscling your way through it, which can be dangerous for you both, this is at least doable without physical harm to either of you. It would be best of course to think of a way to make baths pleasant, I am a clicker trainer for dogs and horses and I know that given time you could actually teach her to enter water of her own accord but if you are working on a serious phobia and a 2-3 week time line a quick-fix is the only thing you can do.
Its tough to give a bath to a cat that will not cooperate when you have no 2nd person to hand you the shampoo. But this is what I do (and I've washed most cats by myself).

    1. Trim all nails before you attempt to bath.

    2. Have a mat or towel in the bottom of the tub for stability.

    3. Only put in about 2 inches deep on the water.

    4. Let her hold onto the back of the tub/railing/soap dish and wet her down with a washcloth. You may have to switch hands and scruff her neck with one hand, wet with the other. Be firm with her. Make her sit and talk to her softly (that really helps).

    5. Scruff her and put just a small amount of shampoo down the back and then take both hands and quickly wash her body and legs (remember neck down - no higher).

Then drain the tub and start rinsing her off good. I have a hand held shower head and it work great for rinsing.

Quickly wrap her in a towel and start drying her off.

Now I didn't know you were washing for allergies.............you don't need to give a complete bath for that. Its much quicker to get some DISTILLED drinking water and wipe down your cat every day. The distilled water will neutralize the allergins in the coat and I'm sure that will work a lot better for you then complete washing the cat. I know people with allergies to do this and they are fine with the cat. Try that first rather then a complete bath.
    Uh dude.

First off, use the kitchen sink. Fill it like half way with water. Hold your cat by the scruff of the neck. Don't be scared to like, hold it tight and what not. Anyhow force her into the water, use a cup to get her wet all the way. Soap her, rinse her, wrap her in a towel and dry her best you can then let her hide lol.

When you're holding her, hold her scruff reallly tightly and stuff and use your strength to hold her down in the sink. She will fight, so make sure her claws is not facing you and that she has nothing to grab onto.

    Iunno.

    Anything else to tell you.

    I have three cats.

    One of them is muscley.

One is fat fat fat and I mean faat and he has flab that hangs.

    And one is a runt.

So when I do baths I have three to deal with one at a time =D

    It works though.

Bandit is a huge cat and still growing, the muscley one, and if I can hold him down by the scruff I'm sure you can do it.

Just grab a whole handful of the scruff.

Hold it tight to where your nails dig in, and push down on them when holding them down. It should work.

    Good luck =D

    %26lt;_%26lt;

    I thought of something else.

    If everything fails.

Put the cat in a cat carryier cage thingy.

And spray it down with a hose.

Then squirt soap on her through the holes.

And like, use a scrub brush with a handle and rub the soap in, and spray her down to rinse her.

    xD

She can't run away or claw you that way.
Most local veterinarians offer this service. If you ask the vet tech for pointers on doing it at home between appointments, they just might give you a few tips.

When my little Mandy got into the garage and decided that the open motor oil bottle would be fun to bat around the floor ended up covered, I consulted my vet. She suggested 25mg of Benadryl. I opened the capsule and placed 1/2 of it in her favorite snack - tuna fish. she wasn't knocked out but she was much easier to bathe. I clipped the claws on all 4 paws before the med kicked in - she enjoyed that part. and once she was sedated, but awake, my friend and I took the task of bathing her. The vet had given us a special shampoo that would help get the oil off of her skin, the only problem with this particular shampoo was that it would dry out her skin, so she gave me a lotion/ conditioner that helped her skin recover. I do not suggest you do the Benadryl until consulting with your vet, tho. And it wouldn't hurt to spend the extra money on the proper shampoo for you frisky feline - just another suggestion. Good Luck

use yahoo search or another search engine until you find all of the info that will make your kitty clean and calm

    Again - good luck
My grandson was bitten through the thumb nail this summer trying to give their cat a bath and was on antibiotics for a month because of a mass infection. There is a dry shampoo on the market that can you use to give your cat a bath. It is much simpler and will save a lot of discomfort for you and the cat. Check it out at Pet Smart.
They do sell a kind of kitty bathing wipe that helps with allergens but I'm not sure how well they work. If you can't find them and have to get your cat a bath then here is what it says to do in a book I own:

    ';Start with a room temperature water in a sink, only on the feet at first. Use a cup to pour over the back (the faucet can be frightening), give a gentle massage, towel dry, and let the cat go. Accustom your cat to short sessions with no shampoo at first, then gradually add a quick foamy shampoo massage and a through rinse.';

Hopefully your cat will slowly be less resistant to the baths. Also you should trim your cats nails a day or so before you give her a bath so she doesn't scratch you super bad.
number 1, don't bathe her in the tub. Use the sink.

I know you would have to clean out the sink but cats hate being closed into one room. (My cat is fine, until I close a door. Then she whines and claws at the walls.)

Use one hand to hold her down and scrub her with your free hand. She won't like it but you need to chow her you are the boss. make sure you give her a treat before and after a bath. That way, when you give her a treat, she knows what coming, and she knows there is a reward.
Use duck tape, it is not very sticky so it won't hurt her at all, and wrap a little around her 2 front paws and then wrap a little around her 2 back paws and then just lay her down on a nice soft towel, and get a wash cloth and put a small amount of water of her and do it fairly slowly so she doesn't get upset. And rub the washcloth over her until she is all clean, and make sure to talk softly to her so she is okay and not scared for the next time you do it. Then when your done cleaning her, then the tape come off easily and then give her a treat!

  • Is 6 sets of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth) too many to register for?

For bridal shower? It would total 18....3 colors, 2 sets of eachIs 6 sets of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth) too many to register for?
if you'll have the storage space then go for it cuz you can NEVER have enough towels.

-for guests, for ones that get bleached, for mopping up the floor when your kids replicate a hurricane while taking a bath etcIs 6 sets of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth) too many to register for?
It's the perfect amount, if you have one bathroom. For each bathroom, you should have 2 sets of towels to be in use (one for you and one for hubby), 2 sets in the closet and 2 sets in the laundry. For 2 people, you should have 6 sets (per bathroom)!

By the way, that's how to calculate how many sheet sets to register for, too (1 set for on each bed, 1 set for each bed in the closet, and 1 set for each bed in the laundry).

    Hope this helps!
I agree with whoever said you can never have too many. If you look at it this way, one set each for your husband and you per day...so that's only 3 days worth. The place I registered at wouldn't allow ';sets'; so I had to register for each individually (8 bath sheets, 8 hand towels, 8 washcloths). I ended up with almost 3 times that amount (not complaining, it was great!) b/c my towels were on sale the week before my shower. So, no that isn't too many to register for.
Well if you registered for what you need in your home then no! I registered for 2 towels 2 hand towels and 2 washclothes in 3 different colors that match my house. If people buy them then great, if not it's no big deal go buy them when you get money from your wedding. It doesn't matter how much you register for, you are only going to get what people buy you. So no I don't think that is too much.
What is really important here???? ';in the future'; you undoubtably will have MISMATCHED TOWELS! Who cares!

I dont care if the bathrooms have mismatched towels, as long as they are clean. There are a whole lot of other places to put your attention...towels are trivial. Solid pastels, or solid jewel tones? I would love what ever the person picked out! Because THEY chose it. Sometimes the registrys seem to be more important than the ceremony, and celebration.
Honey, take from an ol' married fart, when it comes to husbands you can NEVER have too many towel sets..lol

..and if they are all the same color your bathroom will always look pulled together rather than a whole bunch of dif colored towels..or if you like the contrast pick two colors and take the time to designate the manufacturer and style...that way you avoid mis-matches...good luck.
Towels are always needed, so no, not too many. I would actually register for more bath towels than that. You may want to register for some plain white washcloths also, if you use them for taking off makeup or cleaning, you can bleach them when you wash them.
That is how many we registered for. I think it is a good number. Plus, sometimes they stop making that color in that brand so that way you don't have mis-matched towels in the future if you ever needed to buy more.
Go ahead if this is what you want. The only thing you have to do is to have enough hangers in the bathroom to accommodate 2 sets. I have the same in my bathroom and my husband and me know our hangers and never mix it up..............
I registered for 8 sets. So that we can do laundry loads of 4 sets each...and when we have guests, they can have nice towels too. So no, I don't think it's too much...I would register for 1 more set.
Nope it is ok to register what what ever you want. If that is what you need or want in your household then by all means get it. Some people don't realize how much stuff you need to pull home together!
You can register for as many as you want...you may get all or none. Registering for something doesn't ensure you will get it, it just shows people what you'd like to have.
I dont think 6 sets of towels is too many.

But chill, My Opinion is just trying to get a rise out of you (and every other person who asks a question here), no need to get upset hun!
It's YOUR registry, register for whatever you want. If you know that you want them, like them, and know that you're going to use them, what does it matter?
You can register for 100 sets. It doesn't mean people will buy them for you.
no - I don't think that's too many --- I agree with the ';old married fart'; ( lol :) that's too funny) - you can never have too many towels - you'll use them for guests and stuff like that.
You can never have too many towels.
I don't think so. I mean most people probably have four of each, especially once they have children.
Not if you know you're going to use them all and not just keep them in your linen closet.
Depends on teh price. Or can you register for each size seperatly?
who puts towels on hangers? don't most people just fold them?

To answer your question, it's a fine amount
nope cuz when you have kids you will go thro towels like crazy lol

Would a bath house in San Francisco make a good setting for a fairy tale?

Absolutely ! What a great idea ! You've got the romance, the water, the sights the drama the key coded doors. Then you have the drama as word spreads that so and so has the illness. We can watch engrossed as everyone scrambles to find out if someone they danced with may have danced with you know who. The guy laying in a hospital in a dance similar to the one of Tom Hanks to Madame Butterfly in Philadelphia. A real modern day fairy tale.Would a bath house in San Francisco make a good setting for a fairy tale?

    Thoughts on bath sets?

good gift or not? i've seen alot of them and i was wondering if they make a good gift or not. they usually come with a body scrubber, lotion, shower gel, and soap.Thoughts on bath sets?
Some are good some are bad. Depends on who you are getting it for....to be quite honest...every one that I gave a gift to it was in the form of a gift card..you can't go wrong with those. If it's even one from walmart...the person can choose what THEY WANT.Thoughts on bath sets?
I think it is a great gift if it smells good, it is the thought that counts.

    Merry Christmas
depends on who you are getting it for. Does that person like to take baths, what are there favorite scents. If they do like baths and you can find one in a scent they will like then I would say yes, however if it is for a special girl you need something better.
All the time...just make sure that the person receiving it is into that stuff.
its a great gift women love them and if u get a fragrance they love oh you get extra points . Try the one called Japanese Cherry Bloosoms its my favorite and i love the gift box it came in she'll love it . The fragrance is soft and not over powering sold at Bath and Body Works for 30 bucks

  • How do i set up a ball python bath tub?

My mom won't let me use the bath tub so i need suggestions on a bath tub for a ball python it's like a year and 1/2 years old. i don't have him yet but im getting him in 3 weeksHow do i set up a ball python bath tub?
U know you dont need to bath a ball python unless it has shedding issues? if not why not just use a normal large plastic tubHow do i set up a ball python bath tub?
it's true you don't have to but it is a healthy for the snake because they usually go to the bathroom during baths and it helps keep their intestinal tract clear also its an easy way to see if the snake has mites. as far as setting a bath you can get a plastic container that isn't too big for the snake the containers with shouldn't be wider than the snake is long, that way it can support itself. also do not make it so the snake can not touch the bottom and the temp should be right around the 80-85 area.
Just like J C said, you do not need a bath tub. We just use a normal plastic tub with holes in the lid. Whenever you do it make sure that the water is deep enough to cover the snake but not too deep and luke warm water. Hope this helps good luck!

    Vegan bath sets?

Toying around with Christmas gift ideas for my sister, who is a vegan. I'm swaying towards getting her some smellies - however loads of websites just say they are 'organic' and not vegan. She wont use anything with animal products in... help!Vegan bath sets?
Lush is the shop you're after if you're in the UK. I think it's all vegan. Natural Collection on the web tells you what stuff of theirs isn't vegan and they have more stuff in a brochure if you can wait fro them to send it out. Quite often I need to e-mail companies to see if their stuff's veganVegan bath sets?
Even if something doesn't contain animal products, that doesn't mean it's vegan. Most health and beauty products are distributed by comapnies that conduct non-required animal toxicity tests.

Bath and Body Works doesn't, though, so I'd recommend something from there. What girl wouldn't love that!

    Hope this helps.
I know Lush does some. They are not tested on animals, and in their catalog they say which ones don't contain any animal products (some contain honey or milk).

I think it's great you are going to so much trouble for her, to respect her ethics.

    Go vegan!
Check out petamall.com there is sure to be something for you.
If she eats commercially grown produce she isn't a vegan anyways so don't sweat it.

When you're searching, go to a vegan site for references to vegan stores.

Christmas gifts...perfume, bath sets OK at airport?

My bf bought his little neice a kiddie bath set and I was going to get his mother and sister perfume sets are these ok at the airport? I know there is a limit on liquids could someone please clarify for me? thanks much.Christmas gifts...perfume, bath sets OK at airport?
It would be safer to mail these items to your destination. Also, gifts cannot be wrapped as they need to be checked going thru security. Gifts will be unwrapped.

Go to the following website www.tsa.gov - if you are traveling internationally, call your airline as those restrictions may differ.

The perfume sets can only be packed into check in luggage - but I would worry about breakage. So if I were you I would go to your postal store and have them pack and send the items.

Good Luck :)Christmas gifts...perfume, bath sets OK at airport?
I like the answer before mine. Yes, you can check it. Don't wrap it!! Also make sure you pack it well. Put it in the middle of the bag with a lot of blankets, socks, shirts, bubble wrap, (anything to keep it cushioned)

  • The water in two Bathrooms will only get luke warm. Master bath gets hot so temp is set fine. Help!?

This is a new construction so hot water heater is new. 3 bathrooms are on one side of the house and share 1 water heater. Kitchen/laundry room share another water heater. Water will not get hot in the two hall baths - even after filling up the bathtub with only the hot water on - only gets a little warm. 2 hall baths are directly accross from the hot water heater. In master bath, water in the shower and bathtub gets hot quickly, but sinks take 2 minutes to get hot. Any suggestions? I'm ready to get my kids' toys out of my bathtub! Theirs is too cold to take a bath in!The water in two Bathrooms will only get luke warm. Master bath gets hot so temp is set fine. Help!?
Probably has nothing to do with the water heater.

Your tub/shower valves are most likely anti-scald units and their preset adjustments are turned down.

If you do not have the paperwork for your valves, determine the brand, go to the manufacturer's website %26amp; download the owner's manuals for them. The manual will have instructions on how to adjust the temperature setting.

Good luck...The water in two Bathrooms will only get luke warm. Master bath gets hot so temp is set fine. Help!?
In a lot of new tub and shower valves there are temperature control settings so that someone will not get scalded if they are showering and the toilet is flushed or anything else suddenly calls for a lot of cold water. It sounds like you have that kind of valves and they are set too low. If you can determine the brand and model of the control valves, you can probably look them up on line and find out if you can set them or if you wil need to cal the plumber that installed them. He maybe able to explain to you how to set them over the phone.
First check your hot -water heater settings..As code new construction uses a pressure balance system in showers and tubs. their is an adjustment cam behind the Faucet handle that controls the temperature and mix. This is used to prevent scalding but if maladjusted will give you water that is lukewarm or not hot enough
My guess is that the bathtub faucets have a temperature sensor to keep from scalding that is not properly set. Look up manufacture to learn how to adjust, or talk to home builder.
have the plumbing and faucets checked carefully. there may be a mistake in the hot/cold supply lines, or faulty bathroom fixtures.

I am thinking of setting up a business selling bath cosmetics do u think it's a good idea?

We all love coming home after a hard stressful day at work and getting into a hot bath surrounded by aromatherapy oils and top quality soaps. That's what I intend to sell. Give me your opinions.

I myself love bath products tell me what u think.

ThanksI am thinking of setting up a business selling bath cosmetics do u think it's a good idea?
well, speaking as an experienced business woman, very much involved in marketing, My professional advice would be...Try a different idea. There are already so many companies out there selling the same thing, and you would lose alot of money. Its just not marketable. Alot of people have tried this sort of thing before. Bath bombs, soap, shampoos, body wash, bath salts, bath oils.... i've seen it all. Its nothing you can't pick up in a kit from the mall. I've been gifted SEVERAL sets over the years, every year, for christmas, and corporate parties...nobody wants or needs MORE. And in the recession, bath cosmetics are the last thing people will spend their money on. But, if you have an EXTREMELY UNIQUE product, it may sell. But it has to be EXTREMELY UNIQUE. and don't lie to your self that it is unique if you know its not. heres an example. Selling over 50 scents of bath bombs. no one else may have 50 scents, but every bath company sells bath bombs, and most people are not picky about their scents. Besides that, you'll have to compete with all the major bath cosmetic chains like The Bath and Body Works. They are in Canada now you know. They are one of the worlds top selling bath cosmetics brands. soap, perfume, body sprays, room sprays, foaming washes, loofahs, sponges, roll on scents, bath bombs, bath salts, hand sanitizers in the form of lotion, foam or jelly. They are an extremely BIG enterprise.

Im not trying to discourage you, Im just trying to give you the facts. And the facts say, its not very realistic.I am thinking of setting up a business selling bath cosmetics do u think it's a good idea?
If it's your passion then go for it. But it takes a lot and in this economy it will take even more to help start a business. But that's not to say you can't do it. Just don't get yourself stuck in a rut. People aren't likely to buy non-essential things from non-mainstream stores in this time.

Is Obama setting up tomorrow to turn a peacefull protest into a blood bath?

After all the reports of Obama telling Homeland security that conservatives are dangerous, could he be setting up Acorn to start some real trouble during the Tea Parties tomorrow? Is Obama setting up tomorrow to turn a peacefull protest into a blood bath?
    wow !

Conservatives are really losing their feeble grip on reality !!!

    it's the next day

    April 15th

and the blood is NOT flowing !!

*snicker*Is Obama setting up tomorrow to turn a peacefull protest into a blood bath?
    the rational answer...

No. Obama is not behind setting up any protests. That is a no brainer.

It ALSO IS a no brainer that no matter what people call them, or the purpose.. THERE ARE EXTREMISTS out there, who are hostile to the administration. Any one who denies that is a total fool.

You even have (GOP) Congresswoman Bachmann, who makes reckless comments about people SHOULD be ';armed and dangerous';.. then backtracks to call the words ';a metaphor';.

I personally feel she should be officially censured for the bad use of words.

The answer is that if Obama is not behind the protests, didn't promote them (as Fox news is doing).. then people have no reason to blame him if things get out of hand.

Will common sense stop persons from blaming him? They already are blaming him for every thing from the recession to failing to get a dog from the shelter.

It does not take Obama to tell Homeland security anything.
    Funny.
That's called a protest, not extremism
    Big yawn...I doubt it
That's why we set up the FEMA camps. We have to put those troublemakers somewhere.

ahaha you're hilarious (:If my cat pooped in the bathtub, should i set my cat on fire, or just take a bath?
I really hope you would not set your cat on fire and I think that you are probably joking about that. Sometimes when cats do things like this it is because there is something wrong. Especially if it normally uses the litter box. First is the litter box clean? If it is then you may want to try a different litter. If there is still problems, take the cat to the vet.
Seriously people, why do you even take this question seriously? Just report it and move on, stop feeding the trolls. Its completely obvious when these type questions are fake, just do us all a favor and report them instead of actually trying to talk sense into these people. Thank you.

Renovating front bath can I re-set toilet ? Have pulled old sub-floor. Really need use while working. Advice?
They make an oversized wax ring that has a flange attached. Buy one of those and another mid size ring w/o the flange. Double them up and put them on when you reset the toilet. The rings are cheap so you can do it as often as necessary. I did this when retiling a 1 bath home last summer. It worked just fine....Good luck!

What's the name of the box set sold by Bath & Body Works that had 3 CDs titled: Relax, Energize, and Sleep?

I owned this Box Set 3 years ago...I forgot how I obtained them. Anyways, there were three CD's, one that had an Orange Cd case (Titled Energize), A Green CD (Relax), and I think a blue or purple CD (Titled Sleep). I've literally scoured Bath and Body Work's website, and Google as well, to no avail. And I really wanted to find the songs again, because I have no clue where my CDs are. I was wondering if anyone else ever owned them, and if so, what is the name of the Box Set and/or the names of the songs (there were I think, three songs on each CD for a total of 9 songs). What's the name of the box set sold by Bath %26amp; Body Works that had 3 CDs titled: Relax, Energize, and Sleep?
I searched for these CDs for you, and came up with a couple of eBay items, although it's doubtful they are the same CDs you're searching for. But just in case you'd like to take a gander, link below.

I'd suggest that you do a search on www.dogpile.com for 'discontinued products', 'discontinued Bath %26amp; Body Works', and so on. There are lots of sites out there dedicated to people who love products/fragrances that have been discontinued by stores such as B%26amp;BW. Also, try searching for the CDs individually 'Bath and Body Works Relax CD', etc. While you're on the dogpile main page, use the audio search as well, you never know, someone might have uploaded these CDs to the web.

I'll edit if I find anything else!

    Good luck,

    :)

That is where the heroine' family moved to, and a chunk of the action takes place there. Additionally, Bath is significant in Austen's own life. What are some bath and body gift sets that you have tried?

I am looking for some small gifts for boyfriends sister-in-law. I don't just want to pick up something from VS or bath and body works..

THanks! What are some bath and body gift sets that you have tried?
To be honest I wouldn't do that. You don't seem to know your boyfriend's sister-in-law very well and there is nothing like getting some horrible scent that you'd never wear and trying to throw it in the ';regift'; pile quickly. You don't know what scents she likes or is allergic to. Personally I despise vanilla and that seems to be the top selling scent.

A couple bath gifts I've gotten and loved--OPI nail polish. They have some cute names. Bath Salts. They don't smell like other bath products and soften the skin. Unscented favorites of yours. For example, Aveno positively smooth lotion has very little scent and means you shave less often. Pumice stone. A new loofah.

To me bath things are very personal and you don't seem to be that close to this person. Most women by the time they are near 30 are very particular in what products they love and use. For example, I love Fantastic Sam's leave in conditioner, Quench all over body lotion, Bath and Body Works in the fruit scents, and Dove body wash. I wear Bare MInerals make up and wouldn't want someone to buy me something different. The best generic set is the one at walmart that has Dove products. It's like 3 products, a bar of soap and a loofah.

OPI nail polish though is so great and rather expensive so chances are she doesn't already have that color. Like I said, to be honest I'd stick with something more general though. I'd go with a bottle of wine, a calendar, a book, a vase or some flowers. A nice box of candy, a stuffed animal, or if she has a pet, something for it. Scents tend to be too powerful and people either love or hate a scent. What are some bath and body gift sets that you have tried?
There are some lovely sets which every woman love such as the ';Japanese Cherry Blossom';, ';Warm Vanilla Sugar';, ';Sensual Amber';, ';Sweet Pea'; and ';White Citrus';. I think by going there and sampling a few you will find something that you will feel will suit her and she will be extremely pleased that you pleasured her with such a personal and well thought out gift. Kudos to you!!!

  • What do you think about bath and body sets?

I think they're pretty convenient for small gift giving.

Would you like/dislike getting one for a gift? What do you think about bath and body sets?
    They are ok...but it's like telling a girl they are cute (which to them mean they don't make you barf.) And yep...I see the dreaded word...';convenient.'; That's why guys storm the store and get a card on Valentines...because they want their girl to say you ';insensitive bastard.'; Unless you don't really care about this someone...then sure go for it. If not...get them something with a little bit of thought...and wasn't ';convenient.';

From my experience getting the person something they need is always your best bet. Not something that's going to sit in the corner and look like Halloween decoration come Oct.What do you think about bath and body sets?
Gift cards to there are better, because people usually end up buying me scents that I don't like, and they waste part of their money bc the portions in the set are smaller, and I always just get rid of the basket or bag that they come in
I dont mind i guess i usually just give to my mom cuz she really likes them. or sometimes i give to someone else as a gift to them, that always works for me.
    I really hate getting them.

What happens when a photo is set in a bath of fixer?

Although the 'stop' stops the print from developing, the print is still light-sensitive. Fixer makes the print permanent and prevents further degradation from light. What happens when a photo is set in a bath of fixer?
';Fixer'; is sodium thiosulfate in solution, usually with an acid hardener such as sulfuric acid. The thiosulfate dissolves the undeveloped silver salts, but leaves the silver metal behind in the negative or print. After the fixing bath the image can be viewed by normal white light.

Take care when fixing! Do the math on how much capacity a given volume of fixer (and developer, and stop bath) can process and try to come in a little below this amount. You'd be surprised at how few rolls or prints this is.

Poor fixation will show up years from now as the image deteriorates when it doesn't have to. I used to put a row of pennies on the shelf above my pans and push one back for each 8x10 I processed. When all were pushed back (or pulled forward) I tossed the pans and reloaded from stock. BW film developing was ALWAYS ';one-shot,'; where I tossed the developer at the end of each step. Decades later my negatives and prints all still look as if they were processed yesterday.

And don't be one of those photographers who just tosses ';some'; developer into the pan and shoots ';some'; water from the tap into it to make the working solution. I've seen many a photographer who did that, and all their work came out uneven and it took them forever to get a good print of anything. MY images came out right on the button each time because I carefully measured everything I did and used filtered or distilled (preferable) water to make my stock solutions. Once I was set up I took a fraction of the time they did. They never could figure out my ';secret,'; and even made fun of my fussing about it, thus proving that just because you're a photographer doesn't mean you're smart.

Yes. You do not specify where in the bath. If it is in the shower area, demolish the walls down to the studs and staple up plastic as a vapor barrier. Over this screw up 1/2'; cement board as per manufacturers specs. Set the tiles in thinset mortar onto the cement board using a 1/4 square notched trowel to spread the mortar. After 24 hrs, grout the tile.

There are a lot more specifics to this, techniques and tips, but this is the bare bones outline. Floor tiles in the bath are a whole different animal. It helps to know what you are doing to tackle a job like this. I've done several, and I can say with confidence that my floor tiles are rock solid and will outlast the house. I've seen or heard of people who have set their own tiles only to have them crack or work loose and pop up in a week or two.

I would bet that most people working at Lowe's or Home Depot have never done jobs like this and really don't know all the specifics. You have to know about underlayments and curing mortar, and here is where most people opt for the cheapest, fastest way, which also happens to be the way guaranteed to have your floor fall apart in no time.

So easy a caveman could do it, if you know how.How to set tile in bath?
Floor or Wall tile? How to set tile in bath?
you need cemant board, for walls, 1/4 inch thick apply to the walls with screws. spread the mud over the wall, about 3ftx3ft

    place on tile,

it the same for floors, but you got to use a 1/4 inch trowel,

once they have set ,maybe in about 8 hours, you may grout,

then wash of the excess, vip or you will never get it off,

may i suggest you try with one or two tiles till you get the hang of it
Your Local Lowe's store provides How To clinics each month on many items such as Tile. Go to Lowe's.com and see the store closest to you and call them to find out if someone in Flooring can assist you with the tile, grout, and install. Good Luck

Where can I find cheap, cheap bath towel sets?

I just need to know a good place, store or internet, where I can find cheap bathroom towel sets. I've done a few internet searches but haven't really found good deals. I'm obviously not looking for the best quality, just a cheap large quantity. Any suggestions?

LTD COMMODITIES.COMWhere can I find cheap, cheap bath towel sets?
Try Walmart im sure youll find something there good luck ....
Idk what your idea of cheap is but mine is about 4 bucks a piece and you can get some nice ones a target for that price, or at walmart.
If you can wait till January, That is white sale month. Check instore at walmart kmart target. They don't put the cheap stuff online. Also you will be surprised at what you find at the dollar stores. (family $, $ general )
If you have a Marc's store near you they usually have towels in their closeouts section...sometimes nice ones for a few dollars each! Or try stores like Big Lots, Gabriel Brothers, TJ Maxx, or Just Closeouts.
Look for an Anna's linens in your neighborhood. they have good deals on quality stuff, but it can be hit or miss, when it's a hit, it's worth it
    walmart or target.

How long can you keep a gift set of bath lotions?

Depend on how fresh it was . But why keep them? How long can you keep a gift set of bath lotions?
I don't know for sure, but have a suggestion. Try looking at the package and see if there is an expiration date on it. If not, try contacting manufacturer of the product for the information. If you get the answer, do us all a favor and post it back on answers. I am sure many other people wonder the same thing. I know several people who will buy it at the after Christmas sales and save and give as gifts the next Christmas. If it would last that long, you could really get some good buys and still give the recipient a nice gift. How long can you keep a gift set of bath lotions?

I do! I love that kind of stuff!
Call me crazy, but I like that kind of stuff!
Yes, I got some for christmas already - I LOVE bath and body- its the best.. and victoria secrets has some good perfume.

how can you not like Bath and body - apparently you are getting the wrong stuff-- do NOT buy the brown sugar and fig.. Yuck!
No I don't want the mini set dammit. It is completely useless I want a gift card so I can hit the after Holiday sales. LL does kind of smell like doodie I got her some febreze for xmas.
I like Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret... but I don't actually want any.

I still have some from last year... it's so heavily fragranced I can't stand to wear it everyday.
No just a bra and panty set from VS!
I know. I think my family thinks I smell like doody and lies.

    It hurts my soul.

Do I need a multiply page or something?
Why would you not want that??
the lotion and bath set is not my type, but a model from VS is !

Season's Greetings for the little Birdy !
Although I've never received one, I must admit the VS gift packages are fun to give.
    i love smellgoodies!
No, its smells like a ss

It's true, women get the short end of the stick when it comes to christmas presents.

It starts off with dolls and clothes, then it moves on to other useless stuff like bathsets and scented candles.

That's not to say i didn't support the bath set market when i was younger (uh oh).How many cheap bath sets do you actually need for Christmas?
3 more and I have the whole set!....if you are looking for gift ideas to round out my collection they are:

    1) Boysenberry pie

    2) 21 yr old college woman's nether region

    3) farts and cigar smoke
Depends on where in the world they're made. If it's China, I'll take all I can get at that price, but if it's America, I'm just not made of money, sorry.
Pssh, I don't even need ONE. All I use when having a shower is shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hairbrush.
None - I would prefer that they gave me the $5.00 or so that they spent on it - in an envelope if they like.
why i can't get enough cheap bath sets
I don' need any because I never take a bath.
That's funny. When I was younger I think I bought something like that for my mom. I don't think she ever used it.

  • Leaking bath tub tap, the pipe that the washer closes on has a crack in it, anyway to fix or replace tap set?

Rico has sort of got it; look at the hole where the water goes through the seat; if it is square or hexagonal, the seat can be replaced. (You might need to dig some of the minerals off to see). The hexagonal ones can be removed with allan wrenches. Some of the square ones can be removed using the square shaft from the old-style doorknobs. Some of them come out using the extension on a 1/4'; drive socket wrench (no socket) you can also use the tapered square shank of one of the old-style bits that go in a brace; just shove it into the hole firmly and turn the bit with water pump pliers. Other wise you'll need to get the special L-shaped wrench with 3 sizes of square and 3 sizes of hexagonal on each end (only a few $). When removing, make certian to get all the minerals off first and be certian to use the largest part of the wrench that will fit into the hole or it will strip when you try to remove it. The seats only cost a dollar or so unless it is a very wierd style. When you go to the store, be certian to take the old seat with you as there are about 100 slightly different types! You are better off going to a well-stocked neighboorhood hardware store where the guy will actually spend the time to help you find the correct part. While you're there, get 2, as the other one will probably go bad soon.Leaking bath tub tap, the pipe that the washer closes on has a crack in it, anyway to fix or replace tap set?
In some more expensive units the seat is removable, it scrws in. However, in most types, if the washer seat is cracked it means major removal and replacement.Leaking bath tub tap, the pipe that the washer closes on has a crack in it, anyway to fix or replace tap set?
I don't know what tap set means but if pipe has crack and its leaking....replace pipe
Sounds like you will have to replace the pipe. You will have to get behind the tub to take it apart. It's going to be a lot of work. If you don't fix it you could have bigger problems like termites and rot.

Looking to find best quality knife block set for about $100 to $150 at bed bath and beyond....any suggestions?

Since that is your price range, I would advise this set here.

    http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.鈥?/a>

Chicago Cutlery really isn't a bad set of knives. I have several of their open stock pieces. I really like their paring knife. My kitchen is full of open stock pieces from several companies, including Messermeister and Wustof. Kyocera has ceramic knives that are the absolute BEST I have ever used.

As far as the Chicago Cutlery Block set, they also have a steel handled set, same price. Sleeker. One thing I like about them is that they feel good in your hands. But the handles are slightly larger so if the person you are purchasing them for has tiny hands, they might feel too large and cumbersome.

I do have ONE Henckles bread knife and I do like it... so here's a cheaper alterantive.

    Great quality bath set?

I'm looking to buy my wife a very nice bath set (or various bath products). She likes lavender. I'm looking for something that's of better quality than bed bath and beyond. Money isn't a huge concern, and I want to get something better for her than the $15 set online... but at the same time I don't want to spend a redicilous amount. Can anyone point me to a nice set or some products that you would want but might be slightly out of your financial reach and you would love to get as a gift?Great quality bath set?
Well I don't know if you consider bath and body works on the same scale but thier stuff is top to most women. so is Victoria secrets line but I don't know if they have lavender. I will admit I have bought really cheap stuff from the dollar tree for example that I liked way better then bath and body works. so it isn't always the price or the name. you could really surprise her and make her her own unique bath set. It's extrememly easy to make you own bath salts, lotions and gels. for bath salts just but essence of lavender oil (available at any herb store, craft store or online) and epsom salt. you can also make soap with glycerine and the above mentioned oil. I doubt I helped at all but good luck.Great quality bath set?
Bath and Body Works has nice things

My dog received his 2nd set of shots yesterday, can he take a bath today?

is it okay that i give him a bath today.. it's been over 24 hrs.. its cause we used soap on him that we werent supposed to use last week and he's itching like crazy, i just wanna rinse him so that he wont go crazy scratching. My dog received his 2nd set of shots yesterday, can he take a bath today?
You can bathe but gently as dog is still sore at the injection sites just as you would be having a shot. You should have rinse dog at the time. Now is really too late for it to help much - the damage is already been done.My dog received his 2nd set of shots yesterday, can he take a bath today?
There is no contraindication for bathing after vaccines. You wait 24 hours after applying topicals like Frontline or advantage. Go ahead and give your pooch a bath! Just don't do it too often or that will dry out his skin, also making him itchy.
only a rise in warm water and the dry Him off and give him a warm place to rest. Vacs can stress an animal and so can a bath. be care full and let him rest inside where it is warm.
Yes, you can bathe him, just don't use any shampoo and if you do use oatmeal dog shampoo
yeah as long as nothing was put on his coat like a flea medicine. then everything is enternal and it should be fine
    i think its ok
ok that is a good idea and yes u can wash him in no way it SHOULD hurt him

In the early hours of labour, would u set up a water bath at home?

like blow up a paddling pool and filled it with warm water? i dont have a bath here you see, and wondered if anyone did it or wil be doing it. thanks for your views xxxIn the early hours of labour, would u set up a water bath at home?
i'd wait till you get to the hospital so you can be monitored by the midwives. try having a hot shower instead. it worked wonders for me.In the early hours of labour, would u set up a water bath at home?
A paddling pool is very shallow and really the only way you could get any amount of water covering you would be to sit on your bottom in it, which isn't a great position for labour - it doesn't help the pelvis to open or the baby to move. If you do use a paddling pool, you will have to ensure it's brand new as well!
I have a bath at home so used this it was fantastic. At the hospital all the delivery suites had baths anyway so you could just wait until you get there, or as others say use the shower. I wouldn't bother getting a pool if your not planning on having a home birth.
I have a bath but i just went in the shower, i went in the spa once i got to hospital and it was too hard to get into position when i had a contraction - slippery etc, shower was great as i could sit on a chair and stand up without problems

i wouldnt bother with a pool
I was able to get into a tub at the hospital. I was induced, so I was there for my early labor as well. It really helps with the contractions a lot. I would definitely suggest it. Or you could just stand in the shower.
I simply labored in the shower, but I had roommates, so setting up something wasn't an option.
They say you shouldnt take baths toward the end incase your water breaks because you wont be able to tell. Also, because it can cause an infection. So you should probably wait.

Why do women always seem to give bath sets as gifts?

My mom gives everyone a bath set if she doesn't know them very well but feels she should give them a gift for some reason or another.

But then she complains when someone else gives her one because she says no one ever uses them. Why do women always seem to give bath sets as gifts?
When you walk into a shop and ask for a gift set, they normally point to bath sets don't they? The Christmas before last I got a gift set which consisted of a spray, shower gel and a couple more bottles of the bubbly bath stuff... I guess it is just the easiest thing to give to someone you don't know very well :)Why do women always seem to give bath sets as gifts?
Haha...I have always wondered this same thing. I never use that stuff and yet at Christmas time I always get like 4 of them or more. I have only met one person in my life that actually does like those bath sets and umm she was really weird.

I dunno why women insist on giving bath sets. If I don't know someone very well, I just always give a gift card to a restaurant or somethin like that. Somethin that I know they'll be able to use.
that is kinda backwards of her do to do. i guess women just like to smell good, i don't see anything wrong with bath sets, only its getting alittle old like flowers and chocolates are.

maybe if your mom puts the set in front of her or near the tub, she'll surely use it.
They're easy to give and very impersonal. Women will always give and get bath sets. When i get one, i take time to enjoy it. If you enjoy it, you just may realize that you like it!
i love getting bath stuff! i thought other women liked all that kind of stuff. it is true though that its the most simple present and no thought really goes into it!
haha Yeah Cause there's nothing else to give girls!

  • Why is a water bath set at 44.5 degrees celcius and not 45 degrees?

Because the thermostatic regulator on the waterbath is out by 0.5 degrees celcius? Perhaps with an idea of what the bath is being used for etc. I may be able to speculate further...Why is a water bath set at 44.5 degrees celcius and not 45 degrees?
Somebody figured the optimum temperature for some reaction. There is also some optimum temperature to transfer the correct temperature to the reactants. Probibly a lower temperature. The final temperature when everything reaches equilibrium probibly should not exceed 45 degrees or the reaction will reverse.

How can I get my 3 yr old to take a bath without a fight? He used to love the bath but now he is dead set?

against it.. kicking and screaming. And if I can get him in he flips out if I try to wash his hair or use any soap even baby wash.Any ideas on how to make it easier would be GREAT!!How can I get my 3 yr old to take a bath without a fight? He used to love the bath but now he is dead set?
I get in with mine sometimes when they just don't feel like it and it works. How can I get my 3 yr old to take a bath without a fight? He used to love the bath but now he is dead set?
Toys lots of toys, especially ones that light up and he can see through the bubbles. Also, let him hold a wash cloth in front of his eyes when you pour the water on his head. This calms them and lets them think they can control the water in the eyes thing. They also make character sponge's like a Lighting McQueen sponge so he can wash his own arm pits and stuff. It's all about making it fun again, the goal is not to clean the kid the goal is to let him play and have fun, being clean is a side effect. I have also found that body soap is soooooo much better for bubbles than any bubble stuff on the market. Just put a big squirt in at the beginning when the water first starts. It helps if this is a ';daddy soap';, a soap that smells manly, not like a girl. Good Luck!!!
I have a hard time washing my 2.5 yo and 1yo's hair. I do it at the very end of the bath. I put the baby wash on the crown and use the suds to wash the entire head. When it is time to rinse, I use a small cup and tilt their heads back so that they are looking at the ceiling. I hold my hand at the forehead to make sure that the doesn't run into the face. I sometimes tilt their heads back, put the back of their head under faucet and let the tap water run over their hair too.

I use a large rubbermaid tub because the bathtub is too big (and slippery)and the babybath is too small. Is it possible that he is afraid that he is going to sucked down the drain with the water? You could try to show him that he is too big to fit down the drain by pointing out that his tub toys won't fit and he is bigger than his tub toys.
    Hi,

I think all mother's feel your pain..brings back memories.

Trying him in the shower is a great idea. Much easier for him to control the water flow on his body, but it can get a bit messy since obviously at his age you'd still need to help.

My son, at that age took to the shower just great, would stick his head out of the shower so I could soap it up and then duck back in to rinse.

My grandson, on the other hand, wanted no part of the shower. What we found worked with him was letting him play in the tub and before he got out, we used a hand held sprayer to rinse the shampoo out of his hair. We'd tell him to look up to where we had taken it down to make sure the pipe didn't move before we got a chance to put it back.

Another alternative, and luckily the summer items are now on the shelves, would be to get a pair on swim goggles and let him wear those in the tub when you wash his hair. I can remember that was the only way my Mom could get my sister's hair washed.

    Good Luck and just remember ';this too will pass';
my grandma actually told me that when i was younger i hated getting in the bath! but what she did was she would take a big tub outside and let me get in my bathing suit and pretend we were playing instead of actually making me get in the bath. she did it only twice a week so i wouldn't get used to JUST bathing outside. eventually i warmed up to the idea of taking baths(thank god lol.) just let him/her wear their bathing suits in the actual tub as well so it may seem like they're ';swimming'; instead of bathing. i'm no expert but that's how my family did it :)
I think its a boy thing. They hate being clean. My son is the same way, he's 3 also. I will say ok bath time, he looks at me and says are you going to wash my hair. When I say yes, he says nope don't need a bath today. We finally get in there. I give my kids one in the morning. If we're going anywhere even outside, they can't go unless they're all clean(that's what I tell them). Also my tub is FULL of toys when they're in there. I use a flower water can to do my son's hair it isn't as bad as trying to lay him down or using a cup. Also I'll say ok I'm going to wash you're hair in a minute, would you like to wet your hair first. Most of the time he gets it in his face, which isn't so bad if I accidently let some water drip down his face when I start making sure its all wet. I also let him hold a dry rag over his eyes and forehead while I'm washing it keeps the water away from his eyes
My son went through a similar phase. Hairwashing was always trouble. He now LOVES taking a shower. It's so much easier to handle the hairwashing as well because he's ok with his hair and face getting wet as he's completely in control of it. I suds up his hair a little and he washes it out when he's ready. If anything gets in his eyes (water or shampoo), he knows where the towel is (at the edge of the shower) and he knows how to wipe his eyes off. Try this a few times, it may work. If he's not into it right away, invite him to shower WITH you or your husband (great way to make sure YOU get a shower too!). ;)
My 2 year old (and my older son when he was younger) hated to get his hair washed so I purchased a plastic visor from the dollar store. He wears it when I rinse so the soap doesn't get in his eyes.

Food coloring in the water can make it a whole lot of fun too. They sell cool fizzy tabs that make the water different colors. I let my kids pick what ones to use while I get the bath ready. He feels in charge because he picks them out.

Good Luck. I feel your pain!

    http://thecarneybuzz.com
My 3 year old does the same. He use to love baths and now screams when his hair is wet. I let my son play in the bath and when it comes time to wash his hair I get a dry washcloth and tell him he has a bug in his hair and he has to look up and place the washcloth over his eyes. It worked for my son .
My daughter loves to take baths b/c I put lots of bubble bath in it and I also got her these foam pictures that she can play w/ on the wall when they get wet. Have you tried letting him pick out some bubble bath and/or bath toys?
i got my nephew 2 pretend that he was in the swimming pool. also i now let him wash himself.
Try letting him pick out bath/pool toys to use in the tub.
try letting him give a shower a whirl by talking him into playing in a big sprinkler

How do i set up a ball python bath tub?

My Mom won't let me use the bath tub so i need help on what to use as a bath tub 1 1/2 years old ball pythonHow do i set up a ball python bath tub?
You don't need to ';bathe'; a ball python unless it has gotten into something pretty gross. Their cage substrate should be dry and clean most of the time anyway. If you are detecting a smell or something funky, it probably means the cage needs to be cleaned, not the snake.

Now, if you are trying to help the snake shed, a good soak in warm water is best. Personally, I have a nice tall soup pot with a glass lid I use so I can see the snake. But I doubt your mother would let you use that if she won't let you use the bathtub. A plastic tub, like a sweater box, works well. Put about 1/2inch of warm water (not hot) into the tub and place the snake in it. Sometimes they will struggle and try to get out. Check your water temp, but if it is fine, don't worry. Set the lid on the tub and leave the snake there for 15 minutes or so. You might need to replace the water with fresh stuff as it gets cold. How do i set up a ball python bath tub?
...why are you bathing your ball python? =/

search for 'ball python care' at a search engine.

i never bathed mine, i don't think you'd need to.

Unless he/she has a problem with shedding her skin

    which is unlikely =/
You know ball pythons dont need bathing unless there having shedding problems.

You could just use a large plastic tub if you really want to bathe your new snake

  • If you sat in a bath of melted chocolate, how long would it take to set?

Just something me and my hubby were randomly wondering tonight after watching willy wonka and the chocolate factory...If you sat in a bath of melted chocolate, how long would it take to set?
that depends on to many things like is the bath plastic or enamel etc.. room temp body temp try it and let me know :)If you sat in a bath of melted chocolate, how long would it take to set?
it wouldn't because of your body temp
it depends if it was cold out and the windows were open it would set pretty quickly
I think I would have eaten it all (or drank it all???) before it got time to set!!!

But, I think a bathful of melted chocolate would set as your body temp could not keep that much chocolate in a state of liquidation. I reckon it would take a couple of hours!!!
depends on the temperature of the room. plus your bodyheat
I'm not sure that it would. Wouldn't it reach body temperature sooner or later, and stay molten? If your body was getting cold, you'd just eat some of the chocolate. You could stay there a LONG time. Hmm, thinks...
Body temperature is 98.6 degrees. Chocolate melts at around 90 degrees. You body heat alone would prevent the tub filled with chocolate from setting.
Not long if your hubby is up for it.Yum yum.
as long as you both want to taste eachother in bath suits
how hot is your body temperature, if any all would not set
Chocolate begins to set at 81潞 F though I would assume it would depend a great deal upon the amount of cocoa butter the chocolate contained. Some chocolates melt at 109潞 while higher temp chocolates melt at 131潞, so I would assume it would be possible to get a bathtub of chocolate to set with a creamy/crunchy person in the center if one was using enough cocoa butter.

What would you call that anyway? Ted Nuget? LOL!
It would remain liquid around your body but solidify further away. Keep in a position where you can pull yourself out in a straight line or you might have to call someone with a hammer and chisel.

Rather like those kids toys where they knock the plaster off to sculpt a figure inside.

Who is meant to set a bath?

Our plumber isn't prepared to set the base for the bath tub and he is asking us to get this arranged. The plumber has done the pipe work but wants the room waterproofed, then to get the tiler to start on the cement bed but not to apply the tiles yet, so he can set the bath.

    Is this normal?

    What is the process?

How am i supposed to do it myself?Who is meant to set a bath?
This would be necessary for a tub that will have a platform around it such as a whirlpool or soaking tub. If it is a normal tub that goes up against the wall and the tile comes down to it then the tub would be set first and the cement board would come down to the tub.Who is meant to set a bath?
How lucky you don't have a jerk for a plumber!

The walls need to be done in a cement board around the tub the floor should be leveled with concrete or cement board prior to the tiles going down or they will crack. All this is far easier to have done when the rough plumbing is in and not the fixtures. You need to call your tiler he will take care of the floor. The cement board is not difficult (It's like sheetrock) to put up but you can get a general contractor for that. most of the time the wonder board is placed directly on the studs so it is flush with the walls. That means that sections of dry wall will need to be removed. Ir the thinner 1/4 inch board placed over it.

Your plumber is doing and asking the right thing!

    have you tried ebay?

Poll: Would you prefer to get a Body/Bath set as a present from The Body Shop or Jewelry, and why?

Jewelry.. because it'll never run out, and most likely i wouldn't/couldnt be allergic to it or dislike the scent you chose. You can accessorize so much with jewelry too. I just think it's a better gift. If you're buying for someone close to you, pick colors or styles that would go with a lot of things they like to wear.Poll: Would you prefer to get a Body/Bath set as a present from The Body Shop or Jewelry, and why?
A body/bath set. I love feminine things - the loofah, body mist, scented body gel, bath salt combination. I prefer those kind of things over jewelry. I find that jewelry, like perfume, depends on personal preferences of the person. I would rather picking that out by myself. A body/bath set is more versatile.Poll: Would you prefer to get a Body/Bath set as a present from The Body Shop or Jewelry, and why?
If the person knew me well and knew jewlry I would like I would prefer that because I love jewlry

    BUT

if they werent sure what jewlry I would LOVE I would prefer bath body set, because pretty much all of that stuff smells good and I will def. get use out of it everyone uses lotion and shower gel dailly!!so its a sure winer!(cucumber melon is the best ;) or sweet pea)
But really id rather a jewelery as its something you can keep for a long time and everyone usually has alot of bath set stuff and i always think the reason ppl buy others bath sets is because they cant think of anything else.

    hope that helped
Jewellery, it's easier to sell on ebay.

How do you set up a good and perfectly relaxing bath?

I am very new in baths. I don't know a thing about bath salts, bath oils and other products related, much less than setting up my own bath. Do you have any suggestions how to get a good start? What tips do you have in making perfect mixes of oils and salts (and how to put them)? Which shops do you recommend? Are there products I can buy in groceries or pharmacies? Is there a website of products and tips that I can frequently visit?

Thank you so much for your help! :o)How do you set up a good and perfectly relaxing bath?
Bubble bath is the best. Bath salts don't get all nice and foamy. Pick a nice relaxing scent, like lavender. The Body Shop has great bubble baths.

First, if you can, turn off the house phone and your cell phone to avoid interruptions. Fill the tub about 1/2 to 3/4 full with warm water (you want it kinda on the hot side of warm... if that makes sense). As the water is running, pour about a tablespoon of the bubble bath in the tub. Dim the lights in the bathroom and turn on a relaxing CD. Light some candles (scented or non-scented). This is a great time for face masks too since the steam form the water helps open your pores. When you're in the tub, shut the curtain most of the way to stop the draft. Soak for about 30 minutes. Dry off and rub lotion or body oil on your skin (again, the Body Shop has some great lotions / body oils). How do you set up a good and perfectly relaxing bath?
you can get great products at bed bath %26amp; beyond such as bubble rocks you throw them in da bath tub and if you can light lik a few candles n put them on da side of ur bath tub n be careful cuz then it may catch on fire n just lean back relax n use hot water n dont wet ur hair as much leave it out if its long leave it out and even if its short just lean back it will relax ur muscles and clear ur mind of all stressful thought n you'll probaly fall asleep oh n lock da door or just close da curtain n after dat put on a bath robe but dont take a shower cold watr cuz then you'll get but just relax n u'll hav a good bath nap
    ok here what I do

I turn on the hot water and cold water

    and then I jump in

a few minutes later im in a very exhuliribant and exotic bath with a little yellow ducky
Make sure that it is really bubbly and use a relaxing scent like vanilla. Maybe light some candles! Have Fun!!!! : ]
There are places you can go to mix your own bath salts t get the perfect scent. Actually, for softer skin I recommend bath fizzers. They contain natural oils that keep you feeling silky. Dim the lights and light some aromatherapy candles. The best oils, scents, or lotions for relaxation is Lavender. I would also suggest peppermint to get that soothing feeling.

I sell a line of bath products as well as some inexpensive spa items for your bath. If you'd like to take a look my website the link is below. Just go to the Girly Gal section. There is everything you need for the ultimate relaxing bath. Feel free to ask me any questions about what other oils or scents are best suited for what you need!
i think it is pretty easy to figure out. bed bath and body works will probably be your best bet. start the water and pour in some salts and bubble bath or whatever. make sure it isn't too hot, i usually get in when it is about 1/4 - 1/2 full and let it run while i'm in it.
It just depends on your taste. What scents relax you. I use Bath and Body works products. Most of my bath salts, I purchase from Walmart. Be careful to not mix everything together. Also, check the ingredients to make sure that you aren't allergic to anything in the products. Light a candle, run your water, sprinkle your salts in the water and have fun.
I get most of my stuff from Bath %26amp; Body Works. They have everything you need. I let the hot water run, then run some bath gel under the faucet as it fills. Then add the cold water and adjust it to the temperture you like. Sometimes I add some bath salts to help me relax. I recommend gettting a bath pillow. It has suction cups on one side so it stays in place and it's a nice place to rest your head. Then I put on some relaxing music and light some candles. I get in when it's about 1/2 way full. Then when it's full, I shut off the water, lean back, close my eyes and enjoy!
